• The Saint Hotel (A Marriott property with an awesome hotel bar!)​

• Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville (Large rooms, FBOs often have discounted rate)

Central Business District (My favorite area to stay; short walk to the French ​Quarter but much quieter and more business-oriented)

• Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Quarter Area Hotel (My first choice when coming to MSY)​

• Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown (French Quarter Area)

• Hilton New Orleans Riverside (Right on the river; connected to shopping center)

Close to MSY

• All the typical near-airport hotel offerings are available.

• Our favorite is the New Orleans Marriott Metairie- FBOs have discounted rate.

Downtown

• The Doris Metropolitan- Our listener, Paul, says the best steak he's ever had was at this restaurant.

• Clancy's- Great for Creole. Located near Tulane, it's an Uber drive away, but worth it.

• GW Fin's- Seafood

• Port of Call- Dive bar with great burgers and pizza

• Palace Cafe- Get the Pasta St. Charles

• Alto Rooftop Bar

• Johnny's PoBoys

• Napoleon House- Try the Pimm's Cup!

• Cafe Beignet- Just as good but much less crazy than Cafe du Monde

Near MSY

• Drago's Metairie (Get the charbroiled oysters.)

• Harbor Seafood & Oyster Bar (Good Poboys)
